This textbook is recommended for Masters in Navigation of maritime educational establishments, senior officers, chief mates and masters. It conforms to the requirements of STCW Convention and STCW Code including Manila amendments (Part A, Chapter II - Master and deck department. Section A-II/2).
The teaching materials in the textbook are based on problem-solving approach at the management level.
