This book presents the proceedings of the 8th International Conference on Collision and Grounding of Ships and Offshore Structures held in Lisbon, Portugal between 21 and 23 October 2019, under the theme “Developments in the Collision and Grounding of Ships and Offshore Structures”.
The history of this series of conferences on Collision and Grounding of Ships and Offshore Structures started a little more than twenty years ago, and previous conferences have been held in San Francisco, USA in 1996, in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2001, in Tokyo, Japan in 2004, in Hamburg, Germany in 2007, in Helsinki, Finland in 2010, in Trondheim, Norway in 2013, and in Ulsan, South Korea in 2016.
