Garbage Record Book

This Garbage record book includes changes to MARPOL Annex V in accordance with resolution MEPC.277(70) amendments to the Annex of the International Convention for the prevention of pollution from ships, 1973 and in force from 1st March 2018
Each entry into the Garbage record book shall be signed and dated by the officer in charge of the operation. Each completed page shall be signed by the Master.
When garbage is mixed with or contaminated by other substances prohibited from discharge or having different discharge requirements, the more stringent requirements shall apply.
Discharge of all garbage into the sea is prohibited unless expressly provided for otherw ise and then only when en route.
