The rivers, rich in history and folklore, are peaceful and picturesque. This guide gives a brief history of the development of the river system and an account of the principal attractions within the corridor of the rivers. It will be of interest to all river users, particularly navigators and walkers on the Ouse Valley Way, the Fen River Way and the many footpaths along the river banks.
Grateful acknowledgement is made to the authors of publications listed under References and Further Reading together with the authors of numerous town, village, church and conservation guides.
