Graham Sunderland is a Cowes-based professional navigator and tactician with over 25 years of Grand-Prix racing experience in the Solent, including numerous Admiral's Cup and Commodore's Cup campaigns. He is a triple National Match Racing Champion and holds the record for the fastest ever time for the Round the Island Race - 3hrs 08 mins 29 sees, set in 200 l. He also masterminded the Winning Tides project, producing the most detailed tidal stream information available for the Solent.
Rupert Holmes grew up sailing in the Solent and worked as aYachtmaster Instructor before becoming a yachting journalist. He has sailed over 60,000 miles including two-handed passage making, the challenges of the Southern Ocean, and inshore race navigation on a wide variety of boats from Quarter Tonners toTP52s.
